On the 2600 birth anniversary of Lord Mahavir,department of Culture decided to prepare a National Register of Jain Manuscripts with the objective to locate,document,preserve and share the intellectual wealth contained in the Jain Manuscripts and to make it accessible to all and to succeeding generations.
